Troma Internship NYC 3/29-3/30/11 Bradley Creanzo
Today at Troma I did some more website work in putting up titles and correcting any mistakes among them. I also filmed 2 different short interview pieces with Lloyd Kaufman, which some one is using as extras for their dvd movie release. Can't remember what it's for, but the interviews are comically based and relate to being on the set of a movie, which Lloyd actually wasn't on, so he made up stuff to say and the other was some Mexican/Spanish type of interview piecc which revolved around questions that related to something of a Mexican/Spanish nature. I have the question script somewhere, but for right now I think that sums it up pretty good.

This week at Troma I spent a lot of time working on creating links for the Troma store. Most of the titles on the website have the option to link to netflix (to view the movies online), Amazon.com (to purchase movies), Troma Store Link (for purchasing also) and also Youtube (to post trailers to get people to notice). I spent the whole day doing this basically. At the end of the day I had to help out with a short Toxic Avenger promo. I had to crush a man's head with my boots.

Did a lot of running around today: post office, dropping something off at broadway video, etc. Wasn't in on Wednesday due to my grandfather's funeral.

Trains were running a bit late today, but I managaed to make it in on time still. Today was a lot of basic internet work. I was putting up screen grabs for a lot of titles on the troma movie store page. Some titles were "Back Road Diner", "Beg!" and "Bloodsucking Freaks" among tons of others. I also had to find some animation cells for the "Toxic Crusaders" in the basement. The animation cells were in pretty beat up shape and I only found a few that were useable. It was for some kind of promotional thing. I also had to find some digi-beta tapes that were needed for transfer reasons. And once again I spent a good amount of time in the stock room finding dvd's.

Troma Internship NYC: 3/1-3/2/11
Today was an entertaining day at Troma. First off I continued to do some more dialogue list work. This time transribing a movie called "Killer Yacht Party". After that I was talking with Matt and he asked if I would help out in April at the upcoming Chiller Event in New Jersey. Since I have a car I agreed to help, so it looks like I'll be at the Troma table at Chiller, which means naturally I'm getting a free pass for the weekend to the event. I'm also going to check at Kean about having Lloyd Kaufman possibly do something with Kean. I'm going to get more detail on this. The other part of the day I helped set up the green screen and lights to film a short segment featuring an actress I've never heard of who does modeling and has been in several low budget horror film. It was a very revealing shoot (by revealing I mean basically nude poses she was performing). For the rest of Wednesday I spent time in the stock room finding dvd titles and helping with various tasks like finding label distrubition files.
Troma Internship NYC: 2/22-2/23/11
I did a decent amount of work this week, which included more database entry work. I also helped to locate animation drawings for "The Toxic Crusaders" series, so that the images could be posted onto the Troma site and Youtube. I also had to locate some digi-beta and beta tapes for several film to be transfered over. Some films I searched for included Eve's Beach Fantasy and Witchcraft. I also did some restocking of DVDs on the shelves in the basement section. I also spend time filing dialogue lists for "Story of a Junkie" and "Trailer Town".
Most of the second day of this week was spent doing a dialogue list for a retro slasher film called "Blood Junkie", which was filmed in 2009, but the director tried to make it seem like it was 1988. This movie is not the best retro style of film. I know the 80's and this film doesn't take full advantage of the 80's. This film also suffers from slow pacing. There are some funny moments, but the body count and execution of the murders are not great by any stretch of the imagination. It's surprising how long it takes to transcribe a film's dialogue onto paper (excel file actually). In 4 1/2 hours I only transcribed 48 minutes of the film!
