Troma Internship NYC: 2/15-2/16

Today at Troma I spent most of the day filling orders for DVDs. After that I completed packaging the merchandise and typing up shipping labels for delivery. A very straightforward day of similar tasks. I also watched a couple more film festival enteries. Nothing of too much merit. Film viewed included "Bear Scary" and some other forgetable short films. I also checked the new Troma website because certain images for movie box art were not showing up under certain internet browsers. Turns out there's some sort of problem with the pictures files, so they're being fixed currently. Also this relates to last week Lloyd gave me a copy of a treatment for the "Class of Nuk'em High" remake, which Starz wants to do sometime in the near future.
The following day I did more of the same with entering video titles onto the Troma database. I had to gather synopsis's and quotes to go along with list them.

Troma Internship NYC: 2/8-2/9/11

This week at Troma so far as been busy. Most of Tuesday consisted of doing inventory. Troma recently won a lawsuit against a comapny that were holding tons of Troma DVD's and the DVD's were sent here a few days back. From 10AM until 3:30PM, I spent most of the time organizing the DVD's in the storage/stock room. It was also a lot of moving things; for example, boxes, tables, tvs' and other various items. Also later in the day I viewed some film for the Troma Dance Film Festival. It's amazing the kind of things people will film and I don't mean that in the most positive light. Among the enteries was a documentary from Iran about cockfighting. Other unwatchable enteries included "Slasher Hunter", which had nice box art however, that's were the good stuff ends. Another entry was "Year of the Donkey". Bad use of CGI! The by far most mind boggling was "Cheerleader Camp Massacre".

Troma Internship NYC 2/2-2/3/11 Bradley Creanzo

It was mostly more of the same. I finished adding movie synopsis to the new Troma Website that's going to be launched on Feb 11th. I was also sent downtown to pick up and drop off some movie material. I went down to 49th street to a place called Broadway Video and dropped off some material. After that I made my way down to 100 6th Ave, which is a place called Postworks. Once there I picked up what were the original trailers for "Mother's Day", a 1980 Troma Film that going to be re-released this mother's day with DVD extras.
Also I submitted my film "The Bible Belt Slasher" to the Tromadance Film Festival, which will most likely be at Asbury Park.

Troma Internship NYC: 1/25-1/26/11 (Bradley Creanzo) Film 4700*

On the first day of starting the internship things went very well. To bad I can't control the weather. If I see anymore snow I'll go nuts, but anyway on the first day I helped out with a PSA. I was greeted by Lloyd as I walked in the door for my first day and he later went down to directed the PSA. The PSA had to do with PETA. A bunch of actors (male and female) were locked in cages like animals and for the finale of the PSA, a caged person was slaughtered by a butcher. Basically a typical slaughterhouse effects. The slit throat looked very good! Nice flow of blood and the person getting their throat slit twitched nicely.
I helped out by doing some basic crew work, which consisted mostly of lifting heavy stone and concrete pillars (around 50 of them) and I also helped unload gear and other materials once everything was brought back here to Troma.
Among other things I was entering information as well for most of my first two days for Troma's website. I updated their movie catalog (it was about 200 or so titles I entered). Also I was told about the other things I'd be doing throughout the course of the internship. Overall a very good start. Everyone seems helpful and nice especially Lloyd, Michael and Merris.
